Kate Lawrence is an independent audio producer. She creates high production, long form podcast series that follow a narrative through line, interwoven with history, knowledge, reflection, commentary and advocacy, for how we can build a better, more equal world.

The integration of story and knowledge is one of the best ways to create engagement, understanding, shifts in perspective, and inspiration to act.

Kate’s approach is to let the story lead, providing the natural stepping stones to draw listeners on to learn and feel and want to know more.

The stories are set within themes, but the ideas and advocacy fall out of the stories, not the stories dropped in to illustrate the issue.

The stories might be from founders, activists, makers and workers; from historical figures and of course those with lived experience of injustice.

Kate shares stories with a storytellers heart, a lawyer’s logic and a lyrical ear; stories that captivate and touch us, stories that question how things are, and offer glimpses of how they might be.

She is passionate about story as the quintessentially human tool for reflection, connection, inspiration and change.
